- Garden Symposium A full day of regionally focused lectures by nationally recognized garden experts. Featuring Joe Lamp'l host of the PBS series "Growing a Greener World;" Tammi Hartung, author of "Wildlife Friendly Gardening;" Carol Davit, Missouri Prairie Foundation director; and Kelly Norris, author and director of horticulture at Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden.
- Symposium Workshop Learn the many ways to bring herbs into your daily life, from cooking and household use, to personal care items like bath herbs, even herbs for pets. Tammi Hartung, will show us “How to Use Herbs for a Healthy Lifestyle.” This small venue workshop will get you using herbs on a daily basis. Everyone attending the workshop will get a copy of Tammi’s book, “Cattail Moonshine and Milkweed Medicine.”
- Gardeners Connect The Kansas City Garden Symposium is a fundraiser for Gardeners Connect a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission to educate and inspire members of our community to become more complete gardeners. This funding goes to help support its Free Speaker Series, children's activities and other programming for the community.
